On Wednesday, June 22, 2022, Right To Play presents its seventh annual Heroes Gala – a fundraising event hosting Toronto's business and sports communities for a night of philanthropy and fun.
The Heroes Gala is Right To Play’s annual must-attend signature fundraising event, honouring outstanding heroes who are doing extraordinary work to help children and youth rise above adversity.

The Heroes Gala brings together more than 1,100 community leaders in business, sports, entertainment, government and philanthropy to honour incredible heroes who are doing amazing things to make the world a better place for children to live, learn, play and rise. An impactful evening of inspiration and hope, the prestigious awards include: Corporate Hero, Athlete Hero, Humanitarian and Youth Heroes. These dedicated honourees invest their time and talents to protect, educate and empower children and youth in Canada and around the globe.

Blake has recently been named the President and CEO of OMERS, one of Canada’s largest Pension Plans with over $110 billion of equity. He was also President & CEO of Oxford Properties Group from 2010 to 2018. Since 2013 he has been named annually to the Power 100 Most Influential Real Estate Executives in New York City. Mr. Hutcheson is a long-time member of YPO and WPO and was selected as one of Canada’s Top 40 Under 40. He is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario, the London School of Economics, England (with distinction), and has an MSc in Real Estate Development from Columbia University, New York. He is married and has two children.
